Just want you to know that Hoss is getting into everything, he loves to play in the water bowl, grab the tea towel off
the stove handle, barks at the washing machine as he can see the clothes going around, has to be close to a dachshund at all
times. He thinks he is one. Oh, by the way, I LOVE HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What
is there not to love. He is at my feet all the time when we go for a walk outside. I have taken him to work with
me on Tue. and Wed. and he was just fine. He did not care about the blowers or dryers at all. He just slept for
the most in a corner he found. He mixed up Tue as he slept all day and then wanted to play all night, like during the
night. Now he had day and night figured out. He loves his toys, all soft ones. He grabs anything and runs
with it. His place to sleep is behind my chair in the front room. He is kind of turning into a daddy's boy.
Where ever my husband walks outside, he is there. We were putting up new dog runs the other night and he wanted to be
only with Peter. But mom is ok also. He does watch to see that I do not get to far away. If I do he gets confussed
as we are not all together. A true bouv. He has to be with someone at all time. That is what we want.
Not one that rather be in a dog house outside. He is in my kitchen cupboards right now...... now he is out..I got
him out. LOVE HIM. His eating is not the best, but he is eating, rather play in it that eat it. He rather
eat out of a plate, than a bowl. That is ok, we figured that one out. This morning he pounced in it and barked
at it. Don't worry, I make sure he gets what he should. He likes to eat when the dachshund puppies eat.
It is all the same food, and everyone gets lots. When I feed the puppies, he gets excited and wants in their pen so he can
help out. He lets them chew on him, but I take him out as his ears still are sentive. The puppies are in a
pen outside and he can not figure out why then can not come and run and play all the time. He sits outside their pen.
Here is a pic of him, it is in the shade, so not that clear. So all is going well, and we just love him.

Jake :: Martha and Titus Born Dec 8th 2007
How are you? I assume you are knee deep in puppies? I hate this weather I will be glad when it finally
clears up. Here is a picture of Jake, he is a real love and we are really enjoying him. When we can we take him with
up in the truck, so far he is doing well. Ralph is very impressed with how nice he was to potty train. Any accidents
now are usually my fault as you still need your eyes on him and I got distracted. We are looking forward to
many years of enjoyment. Oh yeah, I was just wandering how long before his ears stand up. From what I have read
I am assuming around 6 weeks? Ralph got the new sky light vent replaced on the dressing room of your trailer.
We will get it down from the back when we can. I have taken Jake up to the barn a couple of times he is still a little
timid but getting braver all the time. Sue McGarry DoubleTree Fox Trotters
